Past stories about Edwards in the National Enquirer

It was the National Enquirer that first reported that John Edwards was having an affair. Edwards ended up admitting to the affair even though it was denied at first. The National Enquirer was also the first source to report that Hunter and Edwards had a daughter together, another report that was initially denied but eventually admitted.

John Edwards blasted for affair

Less than a month ago, Elizabeth Edwards died from cancer as the estranged wife of John Edwards. She did have a will. It was unsealed. She left John Edwards entirely out of her will, instead bequeathing her estate and possessions to their three children. The separation of John and Elizabeth had been known for months. They were not at all together anymore. There aren't always tabloid reports that are correct though. It was denied over and over that the couple was buying a house together.
