When you wear socks, your socks wear down

Eventually, you start getting little holes in the bottoms, usually where the balls of your feet are. These little holes grow over time as you continue to wear the socks. If you don’t wear them anymore, the holes won’t grow. Once the holes are big enough to start bothering you, like when you start developing blisters because your foot is rubbing against the fabric of your shoe, you know it is time to get new socks. New socks provide a nice cushion between your foot and shoe to prevent blistering. The feeling of new socks is a good feeling.
