Who is Susanna Hoffs? If you were a teen or 20-something in the 1980s, you have a much better chance of answering that question. Susanna Hoffs is a member of The Bangles, famous for such 80s hits as “Walk Like an Egyptian” and “Eternal Flame.”

Yes, I said she is a member of The Bangles. Though the group split up at the end of the decade filled with big hair and fluorescent everything, they reformed in 2000, released an album in 2003 and are now working on another album. Susanna Hoffs also will release a side-project album next month.

Susanna Hoffs teamed with Matthew Sweet on his upcoming release “Under the Covers Volume 2.” That makes it a no-brainer that, whether you knew it or not, there was indeed and “Under the Covers Volume 1,” also a collaboration between Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs.

Volume 1 did make it onto the Billboard 200, though its peak position was 192. Though the album didn’t go platinum, record sales are becoming less and less of an accurate indicator for popularity. If you can get a quick loan, you can download “Under the Covers Volume 1″ from Amazon.com for $9.99. All of the songs by Susanna Hoffs and Matthew Sweet are available for download through iTunes and plenty of other online music distributors.

The Bangles released an album in 2003?
