The hunt for extraterrestrial existence is the topic of a NASA press conference scheduled for Thurs. In a move one would expect from a web-savvy business like Apple, National Aeronautics and Space Administration has scheduled a press event with a cryptic description that initiates a flurry of conjecture. Based on the list of scientists involved within the press conference, the announcement might be about an astrobiology discovery that hints at the possibility of life on nearby worlds.
Astrobiology one thing National Aeronautics and Space Administration finds
In a statement about the National Aeronautics and Space Administration press conference, the space agency said that it will announce an astrobiology finding that will “impact the hunt for extraterrestrial existence.” No other data is offered except for a list of scientists participating within the press conference. A geologist, an oceanographer, a biologist and an ecologist — scientists who are working on NASA astrobiology programs — will conduct a panel discussion. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration headquarters in Washington D.C. can be where the press conference is held at 2 p.m. EST.
Is life on Titan possible?
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration press conference has led many to make speculations on what is occurring. Finding life on Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is just one of these speculations. The group of scientists in attendance includes Pamela Conrad, an expert on geology as proof of life on Mars. Felisa Wolfe-Simon is an oceanographer who has written about photosynthesis and arsenic, an element known to exist on Titan. Titan's environment resembling earths is one thing Stephen Benner has written about as a National Aeronautics and Space Administration Biologist. NASA's astrobiology program has James Elser as an ecologist. He knows all about environments and the chemistry that existence needs to be sustained.
Looking for extraterrestrial life is National Aeronautics and Space Administration
There have been a ton of discoveries in the extraterrestrial existence search that National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s press conference is following. In September a planet called Gliese 581g was found at a distance from its star called the Goldilocks Zone, a region where a planet could hold liquid water on its surface. On Nov. 20 NASA announced the discovery of the 500th planet orbiting distant stars beyond our solar system. There is a small section of space that has about 156,000 stars in it that might have 700 possible alien worlds which was found by the Kepler Mission.
