Conan O’Brien was at the center of a media firestorm in 2010. His ouster as host of "The Tonight Show" created lots of controversy. There was a large outpouring of support for Conan, led by fans united under the moniker "Team Coco". TBS picked up O’Brien after he left NBC. Mon, November 8, marked the debut of the brand new O’Brien program.
TBS is airing the first show with Conan O'Brien
Not long after Conan O’Brien left NBC in January after “The Tonight Show” had been nearly bumped to accommodate Jay Leno, speculation grew rampant over what his next move had been. Since April people have anticipated his new show on TBS when it had been declared he would be going to TBS and pushing back the George Lopez show. "Conan" became the name of the future show on TBS. Ever since the release of this info, fans everywhere are eagerly waiting the start of this new show. CNN puts this new show airing at 11 p.m. on Nov 8. People who have been declaring that “I’m With Coco” should check their local listings should there be any confusion over channel and airtime.
Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien still have some issues
Conan O'Brien had been passed "The Tonight Show" from Leno back in June of '09. The "Jay Leno Show" didn't fare also as he had hoped and was slowly dying. Though the exact nature of the decision will never be known, it appeared that Conan O’Brien was being bumped from the traditional time slot of the “Tonight Show” at 11:35 p.m. to 12:35, for the sake of getting Jay Leno into better ratings. Leno had been a longtime star of NBC. O’Brien decided to walk away, but had to mostly stay off television for at least six months.
Wait no more
Every person is expecting the new show to live up to its expectations. Conan O’Brien maintains a rabid following, and “Team Coco” has been waiting since January.
