New Kids on the Block BSB tour - The comeback of boy bands

The ’80s and ’90s music scene involved plenty of boy bands. Two of the most popular bands were the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block. The summer of 2011 will see a mixed NKOTB Backstreet Boys tour. There are currently lots of enthusiasts anxious about the NKOTBSB tour, even though the 2010 American Music Awards show felt just a little over-mixed. Article resource – NKOTB BSB Tour – The return of boy bands by Personal Money Store.

NKOTB Backstreet Boys concert tour something for history books

With nine total members and multiple number one hits, NKOTB and BSB are the stuff of boy band history. Twenty six years back, NKOTB formed. In September 2008, the group still had a number 1 Billboard album. The BSB formed in 1993, and released an album that sold more than a quarter of a million copies. Combined, the nine members of the New Kids on the Block Backstreet Boys tour announced their partnership with a performance at the 2010 American Music Awards.

Currently seeing a ton of tracks for NKOTB BSB concert tour

At the American Music Awards on the red carpet, Backstreet Boys Howie Dorough made an announcement about the NKOTB BSB concert tour group. They currently recorded a single together supposedly. There’s a good chance the single can be sold. The New Kids on the Block BSB tour could be supported off this. The late 1980s and early 1990s was when the two boy bands were really popular. They nevertheless have a ton of followers though. Within the first few hours of being on sale, the NKOTB cruise sells out. It’s a Carnival Cruise with the group.

New Kids on the Block Backstreet Boys concert tour tickets to obtain

2 dozen of the New Kids on the Block BSB tour dates have already been set. The New Kids on the Block Backstreet Boys tour could have most ticket sales going through Ticketmaster. Between $30 and $120 a ticket is likely what you'll pay for the ticket. The one thing the NKOTB Backstreet Boys concert tour might show is that middle-aged musical careers from the 80s and 90s can be revived even though they may be referred to as "boy bands" in a demeaning way.

Rare write-in victory for Murkowski in Alaska Senate election

Lisa Murkowski has won a uncommon write-in victory in the Alaska U.S. Senate race. Miller has sued over the vote, however his lawsuit may end up coming to naught. Murkowski already has a clear lead and will take the Alaska Senate seat.

Lisa Murkowski wins a write-in victory that is rare

There are a few ballots still to be counted, but Lisa Murkowski has emerged the clear winner of the Alaska Senate election, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Joe Miller campaign has not conceded the election and, despite a promise to do this if the Alaska vote count swung Murkowski’s way, may keep contesting it. Miller has already filed a federal lawsuit disputing about 8,000 ballots, and especially interpretations of those ballots. Since Murkowski leads with 10,000 right now, the lawsuit may be fairly pointless. Murkowski will still win if all the votes are thrown out and she has any kind of victory. This is bad news for Miller.

The Tea Party ‘refudiated’ in Palin's Alaska

Even with the 8,000 contested votes not counting, Murkowski is in the lead by about 2,000 votes. Miller might be hoping for a recount. Until an official count is announced, he can't request one. Unless Murkowski is totally disqualified, Alaska voters have "refudiated" a Sarah Palin-backed candidate in her home state. Before the Republican primary Alaska gubernatorial race in 2006, Palin ousted Lisa Murkowski and her father which now means that the Tea Party and Sarah Palin, who backed Joe Miller, have now been slapped within the face with this defeat. Palin didn't even finish her term. Half way through she left.

Win unlikely

Within the last 56 years, the Senate election hasn't been won by a write-in candidate until now with Murkowski. Storm Thurmond in 1954 was the last person to do this. Because of the lawsuit and possible requested recount, she is probably not able to take her position right away. It might take just a little while.

Netherlands study shows Wi-Fi warps tree growth

While not the first, PC World is one of the latest to report that Wi-Fi signal radiation has a negative effect on sapling health. A recent Netherlands research conducted by Wageningen University discovered that Wi-Fi radiation can alter development patterns and trigger bleeding and fissures in growing sapling bark. The Netherlands is certainly not alone with this issue, either. Researchers estimate that all deciduous trees in the Western world might be subject to harmful Wi-Fi radiation.

Wi-Fi research displays bacteria and viruses are not to blame

The Netherlands city of Alphen aan den Rijn was where the five-year Wageningen University research on Wi-Fi was taking place within the trees. Approximately 70 percent of trees in urban areas currently show similar symptoms from Wi-Fi electromagnetic radiation, whereas only 10 percent of deciduous trees in and around cities showed the growth irregularities at the beginning of the study.

The Wageningen study focused on the ultra-fine particles emitted by Wi-Fi signals more than anything else. The electromagnetic fields that come from operating cars and trucks with radio or Wi-Fi and Satellite equipment and all the phone networks has been hurting the trees and shrubs substantially also. Organisms like trees get the particles in them effortlessly thinking about the ultra-fine particles are so small. Other plants, animals and human beings are also subject. There has not been a definite research published on the effect on human beings yet although lots of evidence would suggest the human cells react in a negative way to the radiation.

Does Wi-Fi cost you far too much?

Trees are vitally essential to the environment, as the USDA Forest Service is quick to point out. It seems like now that Wi-Fi is here, nobody would be willing to give up something that is so essential to us. If the trees and shrubs all die though, this is what would be gone:

  • Pollutants wouldn't be absorbed from the air to the trees.
  • Property value wouldn't increase due to the trees and shrubs on it.
  • Trees are good for business appeal and neighborhood appeal. That wouldn't occur anymore.
  • No trees and shrubs to cool cities.
  • An average U.S. household with tree shade on it saves the family $250 on average annually which would not occur.
  • Trees save the U.S. millions by reducing pollutants within the water supply. This could no longer happen.
  • No trees for animal habitats in urban areas.

Bleaker outlook for New Zealand Mine workers

The world has been watching the situation outside the New Zealand Mine. Progress has been brought to a standstill, and the outlook is getting worse yet. The Pike River Mine has been found to consist of hazardous methane gas, which makes a rescue harder to pull off. It isn’t known if the New Zealand miners are even alive, and a rescue operation can be too hazardous to undertake.

Gas in New Zealand Mine regarded as hazardous

The conditions inside the New Zealand mine will determine whether a rescue of the 29 trapped miners will take place or not. Friday, Nov 12 was when the blast happened, reports the Telegraph. There was a lot of methane found within the air samples taken three days later. Mine explosions can occur because of methane which is commonly found in coal mining. The situation can be accessed just a little better after a bomb disposal robot is sent to the Mine. Fresh air is needed for the battery operated robot to function though. It might not work very well if it’s in a methane rich atmosphere.

May not work just like the Chilean Mine incident

Officials in Chili have had officials from New Zealand calling frantically for help. Since 33 men from the Chilean Mine accident were able to walk away, the Chilean officials ought to be of some use. However, the key difference is the Chilean Mine was a copper and gold Mine, and the Pike River coal Mine outside Greymouth is a coal Mine. The composition of coal ores makes it so dangerous gases like methane are released. This is what is hazardous about coal mines. New Zealand officials are keeping good mindset, however try to be realistic and “planning for all outcomes” including that lives might have been lost, according to USA Today.

No way to talk to the miners

No communications have yet been established with the trapped New Zealand miners. There has been a constant ring in the Mine with the phone line. Nobody has answered the phone. New Zealand is known for being safe when it comes to mining. Throughout the whole world, there have been fewer accidents than there were anywhere else.

Then you will mix this with two cups of raw cranberries, an orange, one teaspoon vanilla and ½ cup orange juice. Blend the mixture well in a food processor or blender. Murkowski takes lead in AK vote count up and blasts Palin

The AK vote count up has been hotly contested and patiently viewed. It became clear that Murkowski had taken the lead. Miller is attempting to get some of the votes voided through a lawsuit in federal court. Murkowski also slammed Palin in a recent interview.

Murkowski within the head with Alaska vote count at the moment

Miller is now behind Lisa Murkowski within the Alaska Senate election. This has been an AK vote count up that has been debated a ton. A write-in campaign is something Murkowski decided, and former governor Palin didn't like the idea of, to do. She lost the Alaska Republican primary to Joe Miller which sprung this though. Miller is a Tea Party Republican, and was heavily backed by Palin. Palin's endorsement might mean nothing. Miller is now a bit concerned. Currently, Murkowski has a lead of 92,164 to 90,458 for Miller, based on the Anchorage Daily News. There are still over 8,000 ballots that remain to be counted, however so far 97 percent of write-in ballots have gone to Murkowski. Joe Miller has challenged seven,601 of the write in votes, but the court ha! s yet to grant the challenge. Murkowski's campaign maintains the law allows for interpreting voter intent.

Murkowski slaps Sarah Palin within the face

Murkowski and Palin have a past that is quite bitter. Palin has already within the press slapped Murkowski in the face a few times. Columbia Broadcasting System accounts that Katie Couric interviewed Murkowski where she said that the "leadership skills" are something Palin does not have while she "lacks intellectual curiosity" like a President needs. While praising her skills at rallying public support, she also brought up that while Palin was serving her half term as governor, she didn’t seem terribly engaged in the office and left as soon as she could.

Final vote count almost there

The last ballots are being reviewed and gathered which means the final Alaska vote count up can be here shortly. The lawsuit by Miller might end up just getting thrown out if it doesn't progress fast enough as it’s nevertheless pending. Murkowski gaining would mean she would be making history. In 50 years, there hasn't been a write-in candidate that has won.

Kristina Ross: Jail for phony breast exams

breast cancer awareness is something every person ought to be concerned about, however nobody ought to have to worry about being tricked into a breast exam while enjoying libations in a drinking establishment. According to the Idaho Statesman, a Boise woman named Kristina Ross, 37, has been imprisoned for fooling other ladies into bar-room breast examinations. Ross – who operated under the guise of Dr. Berlyn Aussieahshowna – sits in an Ada County Prison. Her bond is $ 100,000 due to two felony counts of practicing medicine without a license.

Ross frequented clubs looking for ‘patients’

Many ladies reported interactions with Ross. According to the prosecution, one woman disrobed for Ross and another was fondled above her clothes. Boise bars were where these incidents occurred. The Statesman spoke with a local licensed plastic surgeon's office. They said that a Dr. Berlyn Aussieahshowna was being asked for by women wanting appointments. Women would call and say that surgeries and appointments were scheduled with a Dr. Aussieahshowna. Nobody worked there with that name.

Upon being questioned by police, Kristina Ross’ victims said that Ross appeared to get "significant" medical knowledge concerning breast inspection and breast cancer . The clubs that Ross was known to go to are being searched by police for other possible victims of Ross.

Criminal record of Ross as a male

Kristina Ross is a transgender even though she is a woman right now. In her previous life as a male, Ross had a criminal record in Idaho. He had the name Ross before too. When convicted of aggravated battery in 2003, it was under this name. Ross was classified as a male by the Idaho State Department of Corrections while it was changed to "MTF" meaning male to female after being in a male prison for a bit. The Idaho authorities explain that Ross was not with the general population.

Crime determined by Ross recently

Ross' court-appointed attorney has asked for a $5,000 bond for Ross. A $100,000 bond is currently in place. Each of the 2 charges Ross faces for practicing medicine without a license is punishable by as much as five years in prison.

Eid al-Adha beginning November 16 is among the biggest Muslim holidays

Muslim holidays draw a sharp distinction among the cultures of the west and Islam. One of the largest Muslim holiday seasons, "Eid al-Adha," is a three day affair that begins Nov. 16. Westerners accustomed to the festivities of Christmas would scratch their heads at Eid al-Adha, an occasion in which a practice called "the stoning of the Devil" is the main attraction.

Special occasion for Muslims is Eid al-Adha

December 7 is the Islamic New Year while Dec sixteen is Ashura. The upcoming Eid al-Adha will just be kicking off the special occasion season. The Jamarat Pillars had pebbles thrown at it by the millions of Muslim pilgrims that descended on the Mina valley in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. The act symbolizes the Prophet Abraham’s resistance to the devil when the devil tried to discussion him out of killing his only son Ishmael as a demonstration of his obedience to Allah. Supposedly Abraham threw rocks at Satan so that he would go back to Hell and give up on what he wanted.

Pilgrims want to have stoning of the devil redone

Killing Ishmael is something Abraham's wife Hagar tried to stop him from doing. Ishmael was not thrilled over it either. The devil within the Eid al-Adha ritual is represented with three Jamarat Pillars. The devil is represented with the largest. It is about how he tried to get Abraham to disobey Allah by means of temptation. The second represents the devil tempting Hagar to try and stop him from killing their only son. Ishmael wanting his life instead of submitting to Allah due to the devil's temptation is what the 3rd represents.

Occasionally awful incidents come from Muslim holidays

Muslim holidays have been known to trigger deadly incidents. You are able to only get the Jamarat Pillars by passing the Jamarat Bridge. Each year, the Muslim pilgrims all have to cross it. The stoning of the devil ritual has become nearly impossible to control, and on several occasions hundreds of Muslim pilgrims have been suffocated or crushed. To try and prevent death from occurring, the Jamarat Bridge has been expanded to five levels by Saudi authorities. To improve crowd management, the Jamarat Pillars were exchanged with large walls to hustle the devil-stoners by means of at higher volumes.

Current customer debt levels make cash advance trap improbable

Even with a down credit sector, customer financial debt amounts make a payday loan debt trap seem like tiny potatoes. Customers borrow just under $50 billion a year from all payday lending firms. The credit cards industry does over 20 times the business payday loan providers do. Mainstream financial debt is encouraged and seen as the advantage, which makes it more of a trap than any payday loans ever might be.

$11 trillion in debt and it's not because of payday loans

Mortgage lenders were said to be the biggest reason for the debt trap as outlined by fortune. $10.6 trillion is debt from mortgages alone. Mortgages, if they’re configured with prepayment penalties, are meant to keep people paying. Credit cards are, too. There is over $822 billion in debt from credit cards. If you were to combine short term loan, auto car loans and student loans you have a total of $1.6 trillion in debt. What is amazing is that this debt is reduced from earlier years.

Payday lenders don't even have a chance to compete

The credit card industry is far larger than the payday loans industry. In fact it is 20 times larger. The sum total of the all cash advances and pay day loans lent out is less than $50 billion per year. Profit made by payday lenders is on average around 10% a year, which is much less than most lending industries. With such small margins for profit, according to the research that has been done, there is no way that any cash today is nearly as bad as critics contend.

Single star in a galaxy

If you did your homework you would know that a payday loan is very different than a credit card and other varieties of borrowing. However, payday lenders don’t have the benefit of multi-billion dollar ad campaigns. Grand Riviera Princess explosion kills 7 in Playa del Carmen

A tranquil morning in Playa del Carmen, Mexico had been shattered by an explosion at the Grand Riviera Princess Hotel that claimed even victims. A crater might be seen in the aftermath of the blast that destroyed the restaurant in the hotel. Swamp gas building up under the resort is suspected as the reason for the hotel blast, according to Mexican officials.

Blast in the Grand Riviera Princess

In Playa del Carmen at the Grand Riviera Princess resort, there had been an explosion. 2 Mexican employees and five Canadian tourists were all killed in the blast. About 50 miles south of Cancun on Mexico's Caribbean coast, there is the 676-room resort that had 18 guests injured also. Breakfast had been being served at the hotel restaurant when the explosion occurred. It projected 50 yards metal, glass and pavement. Those from Canada are 8 of probably the most seriously injured guests. Right now, two individuals are seriously injured. They are in critical condition. There are less significant injuries amongst ten others including eight Mexican employees and 2 United States citizens.

Exactly what the hotel blast revealed happening

The floor of the restaurant in the Grand Riviera Princess hotel had been sent via the ceiling by the power of the blast, according to Francisco Alor, the attorney general of Mexico’s state of Quintana Roo, in an interview with CBC News. In the building, guests experienced getting knocked off their feet and into walls, accounts Columbia Broadcasting System News who spoke with a hotel guest. This occurred because all the air had been forced back into the building after getting sucked out by the explosion. Glass was flying everywhere. Significant injuries were brought on due to this. The guests in the resort helped out by making deck chairs into stretchers. The victims were carried out this way.

Swamp gas possibility

The Grand Riviera Princess explosion had been investigated which ended up showing that there may have been natural gas under the resort lobby floor which may have caught fire. The hotel was built on a concrete slab that had been near the beach and over the swamp although you will find no gas lines. Authorities believe decomposing plant matter underground produced the gas. The construction of the Playa del Carmen resort is being investigated also for making sure that there weren't any illegal shortcuts done to trigger the issue.

GM share rate increasing right after today's IPO

Less than a year and a half after filing for bankruptcy, General Motors has hit a big milestone. Today was their second ipo. The GM stock was offered at $33 a share, and the GM stock rate has been steadily rising. The Treasury has sold off half of the share it owns in General Motors, raising about $23 billion. Article resource – GM Stock price shoots up after IPO today by Personal Money Store.

General Motors ipo starting up

The business went through a lot to get to the GM IPO that begun this morning. Federal working class individuals paid $50 billion for General Motors to obtain out of its bankruptcy. Now, the company gets to go public again after one year and five months. On the New York Stock Exchange, GM (share symbol General Motors), was offered at $33. The NYSE trading began with a 2011 SS horn blast. The CEO of General Motors was able to ring this bell.

How GM share is doing with price

After opening, General Motors share went up in rate. about $35 a share was what it hit. This might just be the largest ipo within the New York Share Exchange dependent upon what happens today. Today, General Motors was hoping to obtain $20.1 billion in share. That was the original plan. There is a chance that there could be more within the ipo than that though. There could possibly be a $3 billion expansion. The record set by the Agricultural Financial institution of China in July would be broken if the General Motors Initial Public Offering goes over $23.1 billion.

GM Initial Public Offering and tax payers

The United States Treasury has chosen to sell half of its stake within the business. The Treasury got about $23 billion from GM stock at $33 a share. Working class individuals aren't getting exactly what was paid for it yet. It can be just the start of this though. To make up for this investment, $53 a share could have to be exactly what the government sells the rest of the stock for. Regular people will just have 5% of the shares offered to them. Most initial public offerings are this way though so it’s normal.

TSA pats down 3-year-old in pathetic show of pressure

After 9/11, airport security became an entirely different animal. What was once a tedious process has now become and invasion of personal space and liberty, argue many. Hot Air reports that a Transportation Security Administration formal in Chattanooga, Tenn., showed that she could perhaps use some sensitivity training following a recent episode with a cranky child. The Transportation Security Administration screener pats down the 3-year-old in a manner that clearly indicates a lack of sensitivity – and the whole thing was captured on cell phone video by the child’s father, who takes place to be a Television news reporter. Source for this article – TSA official pats down distraught 3-year-old girl by Personal Money Store.

Transportation Security Administration pat down started with stuffed animal tantrum

3-year old Many Simon had a pat down by TSA when she threw a fit following her stuffed animal was taken at scanner checkpoint. She is the daughter of Houston Television news reporter Steve Simon. A huge fit with weeping was what Mandy did here. The Transportation Security Administration said she needed a pat down and hand scanner, or a "closer inspection," due to this. Whether Transportation Security Administration officials had significant reason to believe that Mandy Simon was an explosives mule for al-Qaeda is unclear; such things have occurred with kids and the mentally impaired in Iraq. Thus, the United States of America Department of Homeland Security mandates that such invasive procedures occur, despite their intensely unpopular standing with passengers and airport staff.

Yet the video of the incident speaks for itself. As Hot Air suggests, perhaps Transportation Security Administration could have taken mom and dad aside for questioning, to see if an inspection was truly necessary.

The United States of America could create a page from Israel’s book

It’s been decades since Israel had a security breach in an airport. The methods you will find very subtle and comprehensive. Within the United States, it is not nearly like this. It isn't necessary to have random sampling like this the Wall Street Journal suggests. In fact, the right training for Transportation Security Administration screeners would make a huge different. There would not be any "mugging random 3-year-olds" anymore. This is what Hot Air suggests. Looking a young child doesn't have to happen though. Instead they might consider redirecting the child's fear or anger to figure out what is going on. Consumer service needs to have better attitudes while proper training needs to be done also. This would help the images of both the Transportation Security Administration and Janet Napolitano.

Bucyrus mining gear being purchased by Caterpillar

In an effort to expand the company, gear manufacturer Caterpillar is going to buy Bucyrus mining equipment. You will find large machines, engines, and plenty of equipment already built by Caterpillar. With this purchase, Caterpillar can be expanding significantly. The company will now contain mining gear.

Details regarding Bucyrus

Not many know exactly what Bucyrus is. As a mining-equipment manufacturer, it isn't well known. In 2009, Bucyrus did regarding $2.65 billion in business while employing 7,000 individuals in South Milwaukee, Wis.. Underground and on the surface, it manufactures equipment for mining. It’s for mining all precious metals such as copper, coal and gold. Bucyrus equipment has been used to dig anything, up to and including the Panama Canal.

Caterpillar made Bucyrus a deal

For the last few years, Bucyrus has been trying to expand. In 2007 and 2010, Bucyrus made deals with DBT GmbH and Terex Mining. The public owns Bucyrus. Caterpillar will give stockholders $92 a share. This is more than exactly what Bucyrus stocks were trading for when the purchase was made by 30 percent. This $7.6 billion dollar offer can be financed with equity, debt and accessible money via a corporate-sized payday loan no faxing. The hope Caterpillar has is that "cheap financing" will be accessible. This will require banks to give the lowest interest rates possible.

What the Bucyrus/Caterpillar deal means

Caterpillar can be able to be part of the mining world which mines for heavy metals and rare-earth minerals with the Bucyrus and Caterpillar deal. While one-third of the business of Bucyrus is sales of their merchandise, two-thirds includes after-market parts and services. There is a major growth industry there. Caterpillar will now work in it. Caterpillar is going to be much more well rounded as a company. Every little thing from the big gear trucks to the gear that pulls minerals out of the ground could be sold by the company.

Florida educational facilities locked down - Government structures also threatened

A threat of a school shooting has locked down Broward County Schools. At least seventeen schools were locked down. As a whole, Broward County is the biggest school district within the area. The e-mailed threat also mentioned Broward County government buildings, possibly post offices or libraries.

Locking Broward County, Florida schools down

The Florida school lockdown first began in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Pembroke Pines. The lockdown was then expanded to consist of all 17 schools and 260,000 students within the school district. School spokeswoman Nadine Drew said that the schools are “operating as normal as possible.”. In general, lockdowns mean that nobody can move in or out of school buildings, and typically into or out of classrooms. Until police clear the buildings, the lockdown will stay in effect.

Broward County, Florida gets a threat

The schools were shut down after a woman called a radio station saying that her husband was “going to a school to start shooting.”. Also, the station got an email saying "something big had been going to happen" around government buildings which was forwarded to Broward authorities. Police said the identities of the man and his wife are not yet confirmed. The threat isn't significant anymore. It has not been considered so anyway.

Why you will find school lockdowns

It is still fairly new to understand "locking down" a school. Now "lockdown drills" are common. These happen within the U.S. and Canada. In a lockdown, teachers and students have to stay put. Usually this is in a classroom. This will restrict people from moving. Every person could be safe this way. Lockdown drills are common within the Broward County school district. It has been practicing them for all 300 schools in the district.

GM has $ 2 billion 3Q, IPO seems golden

General Motors rides $ 2 billion 3Q revenue, will offer stock

General Motors is free of bankruptcy woes and back on top, reports Reuters. 2 billion dollars in 3rd-quarter earnings (and a $ 1.20 earnings per share boost) back this up for GM. Thanks to this success, General Motors is optimistic that next week’s first public offering of stock will also trend well.

Since bankruptcy, General Motors hasn't been as good as the $2 billion 3Q profit

Since emerging from bankruptcy in July 2009, $2 billion in profits is the most successful quarter GM has had. When sales incentives were no longer used, the profit margin was able to go up. It also helps that the operating costs have lowered. Recent results certainly put a good shine on the automaker’s upcoming $13 billion IPO. Reuters explains that since 2004, the business might be profitable for the first time with 2010 profits.

In North America, cash earnings for General Motors have increased within the third quarter of 2010 for the 3rd consecutive quarter. There aren't numerous sales internationally though. GM CEO Dan Akerson has seemed concerned since General Motors is losing so much to Europe.

“We still need to fix Europe," he said in a statement. "We continue to be vigilant in reducing cost in the enterprise, and we have just began doing a better job in marketing our brands to consumers.”

Getting some investors

The automakers IPO has caused GM to cut costs and get Europe ready for a future growth market as part of a sales pitch. There could be offered both common and preferred shares. The plan is that 43 percent rather than the current 61 percent could be owned by the U.S. Treasury after this.

What the fourth quarter will show

The fourth quarter for GM with the Chevrolet Cruze coming out should be productive. In fact, the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla have some major competition. Reuters explained that General Motors should be able to stay as the top-earning U.S. automaker since the Cruz will help so much. There had been a $1.7 billion profit made by Ford in the 3rd quarter getting them into second place. Chrysler on the other hand had an $84 million net loss putting it at the end of the line.

Auto car loans rates aren't something to fret about

Alaska Senate race complicated more by Joe Miller lawsuit

The Alaska Senate race drama has just been augmented with a Joe Miller lawsuit. Miller is suing to keep the state from trying to interpret what the voter might have meant to write in the write-in candidate field. Election authorities have said that interpretations would be made only where reasonable and necessary. Miller’s lawsuit is to keep any leeway from entering the equation. The final vote count is nevertheless some time away.

Filing a lawsuit before counting the Alaska Senate race vote

The Federal court has already received an injunction filed by Joe Miller. The Alaska Senate race hasn't even had the final vote count yet. Miller and Lisa Murkowski are the only candidates within the race. She is a write in candidate and also the incumbent. Miller’s suit concerns Alaskan election law, as outlined by USA Today. The current law in Alaska is that an oval, indicating the choice of a write-in candidate, has to be filled in, and also the name has to be written. The last name of the candidate, or the name of the candidate as it appears on the ballot has to be written. The booth has to display official write-in candidate names. Any voter intent is something he wants cut.

Reminding of an additional case

Bush v. Gore is a Supreme Court case Miller talks about. This is the case that the 2000 election decided. Joe Miller, the Tea Party darling with the Sarah Palin endorsement, is alleging that the law in Alaska mandates names of candidates be spelled correctly. However, according to the Washington Post, Alaskan officials insist some room for interpretation exists, in that misspellings are acceptable if there is a clear intention of which candidate the voter was casting a ballot for.

Final countdown

Within the 2010 election, many have been watching the final vote count in the Alaska Senate to view what happens. If Murkowksi wins, Sarah Palin's home state may be upset with all of the Tea Party people in it. She will also make history on being a write-in candidate. There hasn't been another one since Strom Thurmond in 1954.

Don't Ask Don't Tell in military maintained by SCOTUS

The highest court within the land has ruled that "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" (DADT) will continue to exist, as further review is essential to assess constitutionality. Justice Elena Kagan, a noted anti-DADT activist during her prior tenure at Harvard University, had been recused from the decision. As it stands, the 1993 Don’t Ask Don’t Tell law that bars gays from serving openly within the United States armed forces will stay in place until at least March, barring an unlikely act of Congress.

DADT still being looked at

DADT is something that will likely not be changes until March. Congress could repeal it though if it wanted to. The Ninth Circuit Court’s review of a federal judge’s decision to repeal DADT is on the docket for late February/early March, and that can be the earliest opportunity to revisit DADT, barring an act of Congress.

The Circuit Court decided to stay the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban that the federal judge decided. The court denied the request from the gay rights group. Not only has the plea to block the policy in full been denied until at least March, but a related request to prevent the Pentagon from ordering discharges has also been denied.

Justice Kagen gets disqualified

All participation being stopped was something Justice Elena Kagan made the decision to do. She got herself out of it all. Kagan’s opposition stance on "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" while at Harvard – as well as actions she took against "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" when serving as U.S. Solicitor General – led her to recues herself so that impartiality would be maintained within the Supreme Court’s decision.

Obama had already argued to leave DADT alone

The Obama administration has urged SCOTUS justices to leave DADT in place, according to the SCOTUS blog. The president’s argument centers on recent changes within the Pentagon’s discharge policy. It has been sold as granting "greater protection" to gays in the military, but the reality is rather different, note numerous sources, including noted gay-friendly MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. Discharges can still happen although the highest level of command has to authorize them beforehand.

Conquered Dem Alan Grayson lashes out at his personal party

Alan Grayson attempted to adopt Republican tactics to a Democratic congressional campaign without success. He became recognized outside his Florida region via his inflammatory attacks. His aim seemed to be countering right wing extremism by becoming a left wing extremist. Grayson was drubbed after running what some called a dirty campaign and held responsible the Republican landslide on Democratic “appeasement”.

Alan Grayson pulls no punches

In 2008 when Grayson ran for congress, he left behind a fruitful law practice. From the beginning of his term as a Democratic congressman he threw rhetorical bombs at the opposition. The saying, "Don't get sick and if you do get sick, die easily," is the Republican alternatives to the health care bill. "K street whore" and "Bozo the Spokesman" are a few of terms Grayson has been caught using when refereeing to those who hold different views of his own.

“Taliban Dan” a gift to Grayson’s opponent

Grayson finally meet his match after this term. "Taliban Dan" was the term he tried giving his opponent, FL legislature for 28-years, Daniel Webster. Apparently the ad worked better for Webster than Grayson. Grayson was defeated at the polls by a 17 percent margin.

Grayson puts his foot in his mouth

Grayson is a sore loser. He continued to slam people after losing a week later. He was contradicting the explanation for the Democrats set back in the house. Most people felt like the Dems did too much, but according to Grayson they didn't do enough. He called the strategy of trying to reach bipartisan consensus “appeasement,” a term for making concessions that has come to represent weak and cowardly politics.

Bush defends waterboarding decision in new memoir

In previous President Bush’s new memoir "Decision Points," he protects waterboarding. An "enhanced interrogation technique" some have branded as torture, waterboarding had been used at Abu Ghraib prison against radical Islamist prisoners who were suspected to be holding information about future terrorist attacks. In an interview with Matt Lauer, George Bush said once more that he authorized the use of waterboarding because his legal time assured him that it didn’t run legally afoul of the Anti-Torture Act.

Prevent with waterboarding

The nation changed after 9-11. Waterboarding started to be something talked about. A repeat terrorist attack was a significant concern for U.S. intelligence. Intelligence agents assured President Bush that info on future attacks existed. Permission to waterboard was requested, the president consulted with his attorneys and got the green light.

Many wish to know, ‘Why is waterboarding legal?’

The waterboarding issue was something Lauer wanted to learn about. This is why Bush was asked why he thought it was legal to do. The previous president gave his response. He said:

"Because the lawyer said it was legal. He said it didn’t fall within the Anti-Torture Act. I am not a lawyer, however you gotta trust the judgment of individuals around you. And I do."

According to NPR, there is nevertheless a question everyone wants to know. Lauer did not ask what Americans waited for. Waterboarding had been legal. Does that mean it is "moral" though? Waterboarding is something that many nations say is torture. Many wonder if President Bush has a problem with it now considering his "born-again" Christian religion he claims to have.

Numerous ‘Decision points’

Dealing with terrorism and national security needs swift, decisive decisions. The decisions are issues most will never understand. World leaders have for making them every single day though. Waterboarding might be legal, but its morality remains an issue for numerous. Slavery was legal in The United States at one point also even though it was not moral. Abortion is legal, but several individuals question its morality.

The statute of limitations is up on the CIA's destruction of Abu Ghraib interrogation recordings which means the questioning of waterboarding no longer matters. There will never be a court case. This is because a prosecution for obstruction of Justice can't ever happen. Prosecutions over waterboarding might never occur, even though Obama has banned the practice and stated that it can no longer be ordered by a president.

Salmonella suggested as a factor in egg recall

Salmonella implicated in egg recall

For the 2nd time this year, an egg recall has been ordered. An Ohio egg farm is suggested as a factor in this recall. Cal-Maine foods ordered the recall after the FDA informed them that eggs from the Ohio Fresh Eggs farm had tested positive for salmonella. Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg both provided eggs from the egg recall earlier in 2010. Ohio Fresh Egg is partially owned by the same person that has a stake in those two farms.

Recalling 288,000 eggs in egg recall

The eggs recalled by Cal-Maine foods, the largest egg distributor within the US, were sold in eight states. The states were listed. AR, CA, IL, IA, KS, MO, OK, and TX were all included. The eggs were sold under the brand names Springfield, Sun Valley, James Farm and Sunny Meadow. A full list of UPC codes involved within the egg recall can be found here. The egg recall hasn't had any illnesses linked to it.

Egg recall linked to “habitual violator”

There have been issues in the past for this farm. This is the farm that gives Cal-Maine its eggs. The Ohio Fresh Eggs farm shut down in December 2006. This took place because Austin "Jack" DeCoster invested $126 million to the farm and it was not reported. Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg had an egg recall earlier this year that made 1,600 people sick. DeCoster was part of that as well.

Salmonella reason for recalling eggs

In general, most eggs are not tainted with salmonella bacteria. In each 20,000 chicken eggs, 1 egg may have salmonella which equates to, per egg, five microorganisms. An egg with 100 microorganisms will make someone sick. That is the expected amount. It’s easy to avoid salmonella bacteria. Cook your eggs to 160 degrees. This will kill any bacteria there. You are able to also protect yourself by purchasing eggs from someone you know who treats their hens well. This is because hens that are in a dirty place that is overcrowded is more likely to get salmonella.

Japan-China Senkaku argument shadows Asia-Pacific summit

Japan and China have been at loggerheads over a disputed island chain within the South China Sea since the 19th century. In Sept, the Japanese coast guard arrested a Chinese fishing captain in seas near the islands. The brouhaha didn’t help prospects of smooth sailing between Japan and China as they prepare to interact later this month at the Asia-Pacific peak.

The argument with Japan/China Senkaku

There is more fire within the territorial dispute within the South China Sea. This has happened because Beijing has been bolder in pressuring Japan about the islands with all the economic might China has. The territory disputed is known as different things in both countries. In China they’re the Diaoyu islands while in Japan they are the Senkaku Islands. On Sept 7, two Japanese patrol ships hit a Chinese fishing vessel causing China-Japan relations to get really bad. Japan’s arrest of the Chinese captain ignited a sustained campaign of diplomatic protests from Beijing that went on after Japan let the captain go. China just won't stand for Japan patrolling the island. They demand that Japan stop. Stopping is not something in the plan. Japan has shown that it won't happen.

The Japanese coast guard in a video

The Senkaku/Diaoyu island argument between Japan and China got even worse. The coast guard event was leaked onto YouTube for anyone to see. A Japanese coast guard was responsible for filming the video. Of course, in hopes that the Japan-China Senkaku argument wouldn't get any worse, Japan stopped it. It went public on YouTube Nov. 5. The video of the collision and arrest made it out to the world. Japan then started to broadcast it on Japanese TV over and over. Google was asked to discover out who the movie was uploaded by, as Google owns YouTube. "Within the lawful scope" of the investigation, Google is willing to cooperate.

Discussing within the Asia-Pacific peak

November 13-14, leaders from 21 countries in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum will get together ever since the South China Marine event has made relations among Japan and China so bad. The Asia-Pacific summit will discuss how to facilitate trade and balanced economic growth in the region, which accounts for more than half the world’s economic output. In Yokohama, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan hopes that President Hu Jintao from China will meet with him. Japan is getting blames by China for the tension. This has made it harder for the talk to happen. It’s pointed out by Japanese analysts that Chinese citizens don't trust Japan at all. This is why it would be hard for China to cooperate with Japan without losing the citizens' trust.

Mazda cooking up gas motor with better than hybrid mileage

Recently, Mazda announced the company is testing an engine that will get 70 miles per gallon. Ford is working on a similar project with their 45 miles per gallon Focus. Mazda is designing an ultra-efficient internal combustion engine and not a hybrid at all. The principles at work are fairly basic, but the engineering is anything however.

Hybrids aren't as good as the Mazda engine

There has been buzz over a prototype engine Mazda is testing, as outlined by CNN. The point of the engine is to get about 70 miles per gallon. It is fairly close to that goal too. Fuel consumption that low will certainly be attractive, so long as the car is reasonably priced. There could be two technologies used by the motor. Variable valve timing and direct fuel injection are these. Ignition is much better with direct injection. This is because rather than injecting fuel on top of the bloc, it is injected to the piston chamber directly. Variable valve timing is where rather than mechanically set and unvarying valve operation, valves are automated via computer and adjusted into the most efficient rhythm. It is new technology that is getting used. Of course, it is a very basic idea still.

Simple ideas involved

The science behind the Mazda motor and the 45 mpg Focus is quite basic. It involves two principles, mechanical advantage and mechanical efficiency. Mechanical efficiency is easy. It is, in order to perform, the energy expended in a ratio needed. Mechanical advantage is how much force a machine can produce from a unit of energy. The fuel efficiency in an engine can be better the better the mechanical advantage, or the power extracted from a unit of fuel, is.

Having it happen in reality

If an engine can put gas in the right place at the right time, there can be more efficiency. This means more force can be created than traditional fuel injection creates. Turbocharged smaller engines are an answer also. Efficiency is increased there as well. Hybrid cars are an engineering marvel, though the technology is still in its relative infancy. The traditional combustion engine will be used for a long time still. It could be fun to see how technology can advance with it.

Gossips of tryst with Mayer condemned by De Laurentiis

The web has exploded with gossips that Giada de Laurentiis had a fling with Mayer. De Laurentiis, upon hearing the rumors, had been not amused and condemned the rumors. John Mayer's camp had a similar response. Gossip and celeb publications seem to have fallen victim to the economy also, and are determined to sell copy.

Rumors all over the web about Giada de Laurentiis

The rumor began flying on Wednesday, Nov. 10, that television chef Giada de Laurentiis had been seen out with John Mayer recently in New York. The LA Times reports that not only are the accusations completely false, but that they were made up by Star magazine. Mayer denied it up and down the board as outlined by PopEater, and de Laurentiis admitted to liking his music and meeting him once, but that was precisely where it ended. de Laurentiis' representative demanded a full apology for the gossip being spread. de Laurentiis is married and a mother already, not just the host of "Everyday Italian" a successful cooking show. She is also the granddaughter of film producer Dino de Laurentiis.

Reports don't have to be true for magazines to make money off of them, especially when it comes to celebrity hookups. John Mayer is a target because reports on his relationships make a large profit. John Mayer deleted his twitter account and went underground for a bit of releasing inappropriate details about a relationship with Jessica Simpson, known as the napalm incident. Additionally there were rumors about his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.

The term celebrity should disappear

The obsession we have with celebrities is unhealthy to say the least. Celebrities have to be less admired a lot more and people need better hobbies.

Gold futures hit history as European bond sector collapses

Gold futures at an all-time excessive

There is a definite connection between currency values and also the price of precious metals, and if today’s movement on gold futures is any indication, the world is experiencing a major shift. According to Marketwatch, Gold for Dec delivery went up $ 7.20 per ounce to an all-time high of $ 1,405 early Monday on the Comex of the NY Mercantile Exchange. Gold reached a peak of $ 1,407.20 in Monday trading.

Gold went down a little in the beginning

Trading began Monday with a loss of as much as $10 from Friday’s closing price on gold futures ($1,397.70 per ounce). There had been also a raise in currency value. This was for the dollar of course. But dark clouds of European debt – particularly in Greece, Ireland and Portugal – massed on the horizon, giving gold prices, silver prices and even copper prices a historic lift.

Changes within the sector with the Federal Reserve bond getting

Numerous buyers decided that selling paper currency and switching to precious metals was a good idea considering the Federal Reserve decided to buy $600 billion worth of bonds within the next eight months. The currency values aren't all going down. This is what Marketwatch explains. The United States Dollar rose .5 percent against rival paper currencies. The euro, however, experienced a marked decline, thanks to bonds from Greece, Ireland and Portugal came under performance pressure.

Re-instituting a gold standard

World Bank President Robert Zoellick has suggested the re-institution of the gold standard ought to be a topic of significant discussion at the upcoming G20 conference in Seoul, South Korea. "Employing gold as an international reference point of sector expectations about inflation, deflation and future currency values" could go a long way toward establishing a practical economic yardstick, said Zoellick in a recent Financial Times op-ed piece.

James Cordier, a portfolio manager at Optionsellers.com agrees. A standard of gold would "stabilize gold and turn what is nevertheless a thin sector into a more orderly one." Not only that, however currency values would benefit, as it would be tied to something to something more tangible.

Seeing increased silver and copper amounts

Silver prices went up to $27 an ounce, Marketwatch explains. Meanwhile, copper prices rose to $3.96 per pound in Dec delivery figures.

Rumors spreading of a possible new Barracuda

The Barracuda, one of the classic muscle automobiles, might be returning. Domestic automakers have revived the retro style in certain automobiles, especially in high-performance models. A lot of people would love to view the Barracuda return. There is a hitch, of course. Plymouth hasn’t existed in nearly a decade.

The rumor of a Barracuda coming back

Recently, the design head of the Chrysler organization and head of Dodge, Roger Gilles, went to the SEMA, or Specialty Equipment Market Association, trade show, as outlined by USA Today. Only people within the auto industry are able to show up to the event. He had been asked about any new projects that were in the works, and he mentioned the Barracuda. For a long time, people kept asking him about it. Bringing it back is something he seems significant about. It would not be a bad idea to bring back the Barracuda, although it isn't set in stone. The Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro both have had retro updates. The Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger both returned successfully also. Barracuda was made by Plymouth though. That business is long gone.

The MOPAR muscle has been missed

The Barracuda made by Plymouth had been pretty popular. This is true especially with the muscle cars that went around. Every person loved Plymouth. This had been as the cars were cheap and performed well. The first generation, from 1964 to 1966, came with either a straight or slant 6-cylinder, or a 273-cubic-inch V8, and had a base price of about $2,500. The car then transformed to a 426-inch Hemi V8 in 1967. Those model years with a Hemi 426 or a 440 are prized for mind boggling raw power, and the ultra-rare HemiCuda convertible is one of probably the most valuable cars within the world. Production ended. This all happened in 1974 too.

Plymouth defunct

Since 2001, there has been no Plymouth brand. Bringing back the Barracuda would put it under the Dodge or Chrysler name. This would be the only option.

Gretchen Jones takes home Project Runway Season 8 award

Project Runway Season 8 was a season of big surprises. The biggest surprise came in the Project Runway finale results. The judges of the Project Runway Season 8 show could not seem to agree on who they wanted to be a winner. In all likelihood, fans of the show will be debating the result for quite a when too. Article source – Project Runway finale – Fashion stuck in rewind by Personal Money Store.

'Project Runway’ into the season 8

Lifetime Network is running the eighth season of "Project Runway". There were fourteen episodes to get a winner. There was one winner out of the seventeen contestants. The episode ran an extra half hour, mostly for product placement, in order to replace "Models of the Runway".

The finale of ‘Project Runway’

The “Project Runway” finale this year began with the season recap. The "Project Runway" finale didn't really happen until after a long discussion of the season 8 "Project Runway" contestants talking about their experience that season. There had been minor model drama, but in general the “Project Runway” finale show went off relatively smoothly. Andy had a green-and-silver collection that judges instantly took him out of the competition with. The judges, though, could not agree on whether Gretchen or Mondo should be the winner. Michael and Nina loved Gretchen's 1970s casual line. They said she "had her finger on the pulse of fashion" with it. Guest judge Jessica Simpson and also the show’s host Heidi Klum, nevertheless, thought that Mondo deserved to win for his creativity and style. Gretchen ended up winning since the two against one vote always wins with judges.

All about the direction of ‘Project Runway’

The "Project Runway" finale has been easy to predict every since season 6 on Lifetime. When the show had been on Bravo TV, it appeared that the judges were making decisions depending on the actual clothes in front of them. The clothes didn't seem to matter as much in season 8 of "Project Runway." This was just like Season 6 and Season 7 were. Season 8 had a lot of people getting eliminated that had great talent. Because they weren't "good for TV" personalities, this happened. There's also too much product placement now. This had been shown with the extra half hour dedicated nearly totally to that. Season 8 of "Project Runway" showed one thing to every person watching. It isn't about the clothes anymore. Nobody is wearing anything like the "rewind" designs Gretchen came up with. There's a good chance Fashion is not going in that direction.
