There is very interesting news stories about ants. Something that you may not know is, that after death living ants will usually carry a dead ant to another place to protect themselves from infection and disease. Now one can ask a question of how an ant will guess that any of their members has died. A group of entomologists have found that chemical components like fatty acid ooze out from the dead ants. The stinking smell alerts the living ants that this is the dead fellow of their community. However, experienced entomologists researching in Riverside California, have detected a new mechanism for necrophoresis. They assume that there is vast difference between two types of chemicals in nature which are found in dead and living ants. After the expiry, the body of the dead ant is stuffed with the dead chemicals which are absent in the living ants. Living ants bear life chemical components in their bodies. Therefore, they feel better to identify their dead members and they drag the dead corpses to the graveyard for performing the last rituals.
